A cotton cap on a run turns into a wet sponge in about fifteen minutes. It stops breathing, it gets heavy, and it stays damp for the rest of the day.
This one is built the opposite way. Lightweight quick-dry polyester on top, and large mesh panels down both sides where the heat actually comes off your head. The crown sits low and soft so it doesn't bounce, and the brim runs longer and flatter than a normal cap — which is what you want when the sun is low and in your eyes.
It works after dark too
Silver reflective stripes sweep across both side panels and run along the top of the brim, with a dashed reflective line above them. In headlights they light up. If you run early or late on roads, this is not decoration.
