A normal baseball cap has a brim about six and a half centimetres deep. That covers your forehead. It does not cover your nose, and it does not cover your cheekbones, which is exactly where people burn after a long afternoon outside.
This cap has an 8 cm brim, a full centimetre and a half longer than standard, and it is curved deep rather than flat. That combination is the whole point: the extra length reaches past your nose, and the deep curve wraps the shadow around the sides of your face instead of letting the sun in from an angle. The crown is 11 cm tall and structured, so it holds that shape all day and does not fold down against your head after an hour in the car.

The metal slider buckle matters more than it sounds. Plastic snapbacks only adjust in fixed steps and press a row of bumps into the back of your head, and Velcro grabs hair. A slider glides to any position and lies flat.
