Twenty minutes into a ride in summer heat, sweat starts running out from under the helmet and straight into your eyes. You cannot wipe it at speed, and by the time you get home the helmet padding has soaked it all up and started to smell.
This sits between your head and the helmet and takes the sweat before it can run. The fabric is a fine honeycomb mesh knit that pulls moisture off the scalp and spreads it out to evaporate, so it never pools at your hairline. It is thin enough not to change how your helmet fits, and the seams are flatlock stitched, which means they lie flush instead of forming a ridge that a helmet liner would press into your scalp over an hour.
